Sales Report
Report for our first feeder sale of the season. Receipts 620 head of feeder cattle only. No bred cows due to high slaughter prices, they are worth more this early to go to the pack than back to the farm. Good run of new crop calves and yearlings today. I would call the market just about a mirror image of 1 year ago on the calves for sure. Yearlings were higher than a year ago but weaker than the yearling highs of 90 days ago. It's been an interesting year since our last sale, highs in the fed market and in the slaughter cow and bulls market also. I'm sure we will see records broke again in year 2025, cow numbers continue to dwindle rapidly and replacement numbers don't keep up. We want to thank everyone for the support in the market, buyers, and sellers. And we couldn't do this without the great help out back, it's a well oiled machine. Sale started a touch after 10 am and was done by 12:30, they help move the sale along.
