Sales Report
Market Report for Friday, September 19th. We had a strong start to the fall feeder cattle sale season with 380 head of feeders and 20 bred cows for spring. Of those, 10 head of second-calvers brought $3425. The bulk of the running-age bred cows, all 30-90 days bred, sold from $2450 to $2900. The feeder cattle market was very strong, with the majority of the offering weighing 400-650 lbs. 400 lb steers and heifers topped out at $5.60/lb with heifers generally running $10-$15/cwt back from the steers.
