Sales Report
Report on the feeder sale for Friday March 21st, 2025.  Light numbers that is normally usually this time of the year throughout history.  Most of the calf feeder runs throughout the United States are in the big months of October – January, getting close to grass normally makes them scarce and higher.  The market here today was stronger on very light tests with just 220 head of feeder cattle and light run of bred heifers and cows.  Big crowd of buyers on the seats, bidding was aggressive, I’d call the market very strong on what grass cattle we had, maybe $10 to $30 higher, 700 to 900 lbs cattle steady to as much as $10 higher on instances.  Fed market on Friday alone is shooting up to over record highs with country bids by the end of the day as high as $313.50 and meat bids of $335.  Prior to these bids the highs in the meat were $330.  Where this goes from here is going be the million dollar guess, we could see higher highs, but my guess is a more realistic summer price of $197 to $207, but anything is possible.  We want to again thank all of the sellers for the support and the buyers for there participation!!!!   We have one more sale in April until next September, so to consign give Austin, Nathan or myself a call.   Thanks again to the help out back for there hard work the day ahead of these sales and the day of to make things run as smooth as possible!!!
